Default Clicking noise from transmission until clutch pressed down.

The car is a 1999 Honda Prelude SH.

I recently replaced my axles, and refilled the Honda MTF with GM Syncromesh Friction Modified fluid. Now I notice a rapid clicking noise from the front right, most likely coming from the transmission. The clicking noise goes away completely when I press down on the clutch pedal.

I read that it could be the input shaft bearing, but the car drives fine and the noise was not there before. Could the noise be from the GM fluid or possibly bad installation of the axle?

Actually you need very little grease in the bell housing on the shaft and bearing, slinging it on the clutch disc=sad face.

i say main bearing inside the tranny. my SI did this 4 years ago, kind of sounds like a valve tick in your tranny until the clutch is presses and from what i gather there are 3 of them?? well i asked honda to do all mine under warranty and i would pay the difference for the non bad ones and they did not so i now have another bad one, it takes awhile for them to go kaput it seems but soon i'm gonna get a new tranny anyways.

It's a clicking noise, it's not that loud, and there's no grinding or whining noises. If it is the main bearing, how concerned should I be with this? I plan to replace my clutch in the summer, would that piece easily be changed out during the install?
