    Default Spin No Start

    1995 Acura Integra 5 speed p75 ecu

will we are stumped at this point. car has compression, fire, and fuel.

    when the problem started:
distributor locked up. replaced the distributor with new coil, button, icm, and cap. spins no start

fuel pump is kicking on. plugs are firing(blue spark)

took another running 1995 Acura Integra 5 speed and swapped the distributor, plugs, plug wires, and ecu same problem.

checked the harness everything is plugged up.

we need help at this point.

Did you do a compression test and if so what were the numbers. Have you checked the timing belt to make sure cams and crank are in time? Sounds like you have all three (compression, fuel, spark) just not at the right time. Also, have you checked for injector pulse?

haven't done a compression test. the timing looks like it might be off a tooth or 2 but the shouldn't cause it not to start right?

going the get the noid tester from the shop tonight and check the injector pulse. that is our next step

NOOO!!! a tooth or two off can keep it from starting, especially if the distributor is not 100% on the money. Go check that part. 95% of my failed "first starts" are usually timing related.

we left the distributor loose and rotated it back and forth and still nothing. i've had a engine that was off a tooth before and it still started just didnt run right.

we are not ever getting any popping. just turning over. doesnt even sound like its trying to fire. no backfiring or smoke

yeah i wasnt getting the pops and then i bought a new coil and started getting them. it seems like there is something so small that is holding me back.

FWIW: those internal coils suck> I think most Advance Auto stores carry the dist. cap with the 5th terminal to convert it to a standard Accel or MSD unit used on about everything.

Nemo after trying to start it for awhile which I bet you have been doing, are your plugs just full of gas? I'd check them to make sure all you injectors are working..... Have you seen this motor run yet, like in a previous car or something????
