Default Roomate just added oil car smokes alot..wtf?

Question for you all. My roomate and I went and got some oil for his car and filled it up right after purchase. strange thing was that on the way home he was driving his car was pouring smoke out the back as he was pressing the gas to rev is a bit. only thing i noticed is that it felt like it was slowing down as or having trouble picking up speed as he hit the gas. but only in a certain gear. Its an automatic 3.2 200 tl (non type s).

We kept to about 45 or so and didnt really have much problems unless he was revving it. When we got back we tried revving it in the drive way but nothing happened. it didnt smoke or anything. Not quite sure what exactly was going on but I did smell what seemed to smell like burt rubber/plastic from the back when I went to the trunk. Any ideas?

Did you check the dip stick before you just poured a lot of oil in it??? Kinda hard to understand what your saying? Shot in the dark.. Blown head gasket? Any MIL? Does it sputter? I dont know why it would smoke in a certain gear? Did you run over a plastic grocery bag?

Could be seriously overfilled or have a bad ring possibly.

sounds to me it could simply have too much oil in it.

if the oil level turns out to be fine then check your pcv, do a compression and leakdown as well.
