    Default spring ???

i recently installed some after market shocks and springs

when compressed you cant remove the spring compressor

easily you got to spin it by force (rubber mallet) to a area

with more clearance, this is very time consuming and

damages the spring (well the spring look anyway)
    i rented

the spring compressor from auto zone,
    there has got to be

    an easier way
    ...HELP!!!

neh, as long as your using a hard rubber mallet it will cause no damage... if your using a metal hammer then thats a different story.

i mean sliding the spring compressor down to a spot with enough clearance to remove it mess's up the spring cover i mean my brand new springs looks old now, and i want to cut half a coil off and doing this again is just gonna SUCK!!

no way around it as its a pain in the ass. and my friends cant understand why i dont want to lower their cars anymore on my own free time without atleast a little compensation.

use an impact gun if ya can. it makes it at least faster than rachet wrenches...

You can take the whole assembly out and take it to a shop with a hydraulic spring compressor and they can swap 'em out for you... you'll have to pay a little $$$ but your springs will still look new and all you have to do is bolt 'em back in

that's odd you have to compress a lowering spring, i have never done that before and i have had several types. from tein, eibach,hr,skunks. that's really weird., but a couple scratches isn't gonna hurt them
