Exclamation really need help with d series manifold!!

Ok so i bouht a used skunk2 intake manifold a wile ago. i finally got around to installing it today its a skunk2 gen 1 in my d16y8. took off the stock no problem and switched fuel rail throttle body ect. over to skunk2 and installed. also wile taking off the stock i cracked a sensor on the block i think its oil pressure sensor. well i bolted the skunk2 back in just like the oem. i started it and it sounded a lil wierd. like it didnt iddle rite. i let it like that and went for test drive. wile driving it felt weak and sounded diffrent. soon started making white smoke. doesnt look like its leeking fuel or any thing. im really woried about the way its running. any and alll help would help me alot. did i mess up somewere or is it the sensor i broke or wat. if u experienced this and fixed please comment.

If the sensor is right below the intake manifold it was the Knock Sensor. That probably isnt the issue. If you have white smoke sounds like coolant possibly. Did you make sure you hooked up the vac lines correctly and did not put a coolant hose onto a vacuum fitting? Blinking check engine light means there is a hard misfire going on. Recheck connections and if you are not sure you may need to get someone experienced to look at it with you because a coolant bypass hose to the intake can cause BIG issues.

Yeah sounds like you cracked the knock sensor plug, and you might have a coolant line ran into the intake lol. Bad shit

May sound stupid but if i fix coolant lines the way they are supposed to go it'll run fine? and the only two lines i remember swithing are the ones on top of manifold. one runs to fuel rail and other comes somewere unded i.m. reason y was because the one from the fuel rail to manifold was to short so i conected it to the one it could reach. and wen i got the manifold the one on the left was capped off so i figured it didnt matter if i switched them around.

What about lines coming from Firewall (heater core)... Its easy to switch that one.. and the other Directly beside it..

If you hook everything back up CORRECTLY it will run fine..

i've had a manifold that was warped out of the box. this could cause the coolant to seap over to the #4 runner. if you didn't mix the lines this could be your problem. you have to take it back off and have a machine shop surface it. throw it back on with a new intake gasket and you should be good to go.

This could def be a possibility too. Good advice.

Hey guys thanks for the help but i finally got it fixed myself. i took the manifold off completly again and found that i hadnt completly scraped off the gasket left behind and left a lil bulge rite were the coolant hose was and that was enough space for water to get into engine. everything is good now and my cars running great. apreciate the comments they led me in the rite direcrion.
