logic would tell me in order to wear it down a little (break it in) you would need to shift gears (as in pull the disc off the flywheel then put it back against the spinning flywheel multiple times)...but i guess you could drive down the interstate with your foot on the clutch holding it down a couple inches (good way to roast the flywheel and burn up the disc though).Originally Posted by got2hit9K
just drive 500 miles of city driving..i drove about 400 miles of everyday "city(suburb)" driving. then took a 600 mile trip to the beach to break in my exedy stage 1.

With all of my cars that i've gotten clutches installed in, I always suggest a total of 1000 miles of hwy/city combined.
I'm just cautious like that.
Leisa and S. 4 Life NM?
I just put one in my CRX, i am shifting at 3k for 500 miles 4k for 400 miles and so on...
when I installed my CC 6puck I drove it for 500 miles on the highway then like 200 city miles (stop and go).
thought that 6 pucks dont need break in periods.
what do u need to break in clutches for??
some clutches come broken in already
you break in a clutch so the disk and pressure plate wear into the flywheel evenly, and you also need to make sure the material on the disk is broken in.
some material, like Kevlar, doesnt need to be broken in
