    Default OBD2a conversion

    Just wanting to know if it is possible to run an OBD2a engine with a OBD1 ECU? the engine is a JDM D15B ( D15Z7) vtec. ECU is a P28, from a 95 SI . Any help is greatly apperciated.

    go to www.boomslang.us and get the conversion harness (best quality and great price...never had one fail on any of my customers).

    With that engine being the JDM, its actually easier to run it OBD1 then it is to run it OBD2a... So yes just get the conversion harness
    -If You Own A Honda And Say "Headers", Go Jump Off Bridge...........

    yep, if not you have the crank angle sensor, which the new motor pro doesn't have so get the harness and run that ecu no prob at all. i put a y8 in a 95 a few years ago and it ran fine on a p28. if you had a y8 in the car already i would use that manifold honestly so it breathes right, or a z6 would be the next best but the one that came with the swap should be fine also. that was the only thing i had to change on the 95 civic, a d15b7 manifold doesn't seem to breathe as good. go figure.
