    And?
V8's would need a lot more upgrades as well to reach that amount of HP!

Thank you for proving my point. Basically stock drivability on 91 octane. I bet it gets decent MPG considering the HP levels too. As far as the other video that was posted with the rotory in the BMW....lol, that [engine] setup isn't streetable for shit. Sick non the less though. That thing hooked up and dipped the fuck out.

Yup. But I know some people with Peripheral Ported 13B-RE engines daily driven and getting 18MPG. Not sure on HP but I know dam well it's well over 850HP.

I wasn't aware of that type of efficiency out of those engines. How often do they have to be rebuilt? What kind of money has to be spent to attain those results?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a rotary hater or a V8 nut swinger (ok, maybe i am lol), but just an all around automotive enthusiast. I think one of the coolest, most unique swaps was the rotary in the nova (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DcGZgz0yRbg) and the 2jz in the camaro (http://www.youtube.com/results?searc...rch_type=&aq=f)

I don't know which part of this statement is harder to believe, daily driven 13b-re with a p port or the 18mpg

a 13bre in any trim can be making that many miles per gallon. just takes a good tune.

however all of this while on a p port? no

I have a couple friends who have both MPG on a PP. Don't get me wrong it sounds wrong, but they have driven their cars for 3 years now with PP but one of them is a 13B 6port which to me is amazing. But then again they tell me that 18MPG is highway not city. It does sound retarded though.

Now, I am fully aware that this car is an exception, but the Ultimate Aero TT has a 387ci twin turbo V8 making 1287hp/1112tq while still maintaining nearly 30mpg.....just sayin...

Also, slap a TT kit on a C6 Z06 and I'm sure you would be knocking on the door of 1000hp while getting solidly over 25mph on the highway.
