    Default p28 w/ hondata s300 check engine light

    i have a 94 civic b16 swap using a p28 ecu with hondata s300.
    car was running great then was stolen. recovered all parts and reinstalled
    after reinstallation when i turn the key on the cel stays on. it wont blink when doing the bulb check it just comes on and stays on. any ideas? swapped ecu w/ know good ecu same cel issue.

    Well when you put little paper clip in that plug to do the CEL trick.. if you have NO codes it will stay on constant..

    BUT are you saying even with out doing the trick your light is still on?

    connect w/ the laptop and open s-manager for s300. you can check codes directly from there.

    stolen cars that get stripped or partially stripped usually haven't had their parts removed gently. there's a good chance there are some wiring issues now or some plugs are swapped to the incorrect sensors.

    the svc connector jumper should show you the codes too.
