Help DONT KNOW WHAT THIS IS!!!

i have a 95 del sol and under the dash on the fire wall is a blue box looking thing that connects to the harness that says interlock...something on it. Does anyone know what this is called and what it is for??????

because i am doing a swap and i dont want to think that if it does not run, that blue box is the problem

it is or was an automatic right? It keeps you from being able to pull the key out unless it is in park.
