As an EF enthusiast you should know there are differences between harnesses. More than likely its a 90-91 SiR cluster, which has different wiring than the 88-89s.

    very true!

and its not a sir cluster i doubt you would find that here they are kinda pricey

if it has 4 screws in the gas and temp area its a 88-89 cluster

no screws like the one you posted fs geezy then its a 90-91 cluster

you cant mix and match them or they wont work.

2nd reason id take a look at the green film on the back of the cluster do you see any burnt connections or broken areas this will cause the rpm section of the cluster to not work. i found this out the hard way after buying a few from certain members. i just bit the bullet and bought one from marietta salvage
    now with LSD

if the cluster is 90-91 and your car is 88-89. u will need the 90-91 plugs and do some diffrent wiring. i did it on mine. i got a 89 crx cluster in my 91 hatch

yes as long its from a hatch to a hatch. because if you do from a CRX to a hatch it wont fit completely flush
