    Default Toyota MR2 Headers

I think my MR2 has an exhaust leak and i was contemplating on whether or not to get the OBX headers off ebay for it. Has anyone heard anything about them? I heard they're good but i just wanted to make sure before i go ahead and buy anything.

    Thanks!

    **also, what about these?

they're cheaper than the OBX ones and add more hp too

Most people with mk2's seem split between XS and OBX. A lot of people buy the OBX ones, heard of one or two problems with fitment issues. Less info on the XS as I haven't heard of many people buying them, but supposedly a little better build quality?

This is just from reading around on how they are on MR2s, no personal experience.

If you're an NA, though, I'd honestly look at weight loss more than HP gains. You aren't going to see much hp differences with exhaust/intake mods if you haven't already modded the engine a good bit. Some aftermarket exhausts can save you a good bit of poundage, which is what I'd be looking at, not 5 or so hp if even that.

I know awhile back on mr2oc.com a guy was selling some OBX headers, used. Don't remember his price.

    Hope that helps. =)

The OBX headers are decent. I got them for my AE86 and I love the fact that they are stainless steel. For the AE86 they are essentially a TRD copy. I have heard fitment issues before for the AE86 but mine didn't have any problems.
