    Default DA HEAT PROBLEM!!!!!!

    HERE IS WHATS GOING ON, THE CAR DOESNT RUN HOT AT ALL, IT JUST GOT NEW WATER PUMP AND TIMING BELT AND RADIATOR FLUSHED AND NEW UPPER AND LOWER HOSES, NEW THERMASTATE, AND A NEW RADIATOR CAP, AND ALL NEW ANTIFREEZE. WELL WHEN THE CAR WORMS UP THE HEAT KICKS IN LIKE IT SHOULD, WITH THE HEAD LIGHTS OFF AND HEAT OFF THE CAR IDEALS FINE, WHEN I HAVE MY HEAD LIGHTS ON AND HEAT TURNED ON AT IDEAL MY RPMS DROP THE LIGHTS DIM AND THE HEAT DONT BLOW OUT SO HARD AND THE HEAT FADES AWAY, WHEN I REV UP EVERYTHING COMES BACK TO LIFE. I CHECKED OUT ALL GROUNDS I DID FIND ONE GROUND WIRE THAT WASNT GROUNDED RIGHT, I GROUNDED IT THEN STILL NOTHING, I WAS TOLD BY A BUDDY OF MINE THAT IT COULD BE THAT I DIDNT GET ALL OF THE AIR OUT OF THE COOLENT SYSTEM, OR THAT IT COULD BE THAT MY ALTERNATOR IS GOT A BAD AMP. IDK PLEASE HELP WITH INFO! THANKS!

    no its not the car is all stock i just got it in a week be for thanksgiving!

    oh gotcha. ive got a da (my sig) and my lights dim when it gets warmed up but i dont have any of the bad after effects like ur talking about. i figured i needed bigger guage wires for my battery since its in the trunk but idk man. try a fresh alternator??

    dont adjust the idle just like that. Thats a last resort. Check all grounds and power wires make sure everything is making good contact. Check for corrosion in any wiring and replace if necessary.

    Your problem seems electrical because when you turn your headlights on, everything dims which means the blower loses power along with everything else. Could very well be a dying alternator. Take it to autozone and get a free battery test?

    Not to jack your thread or nothing but I'm having the same problem the only thing is the heat don't blow AT ALL... I put it on high but still nothing...smh What should I be looking for?

    i am leaning more to a electrical problem as well, i dont have any bad fuses i know. PLEASE MORE IDEAS!

    yea that and the water leak on the passenger side lol! i am working on getting that fixed as well but i am going to replace all weather striping as well and put a new window in because i have a deep scratch on mine due to previous owner not changing a bad windsheild wiper!

    all of the fueses are good there eather bad or good there is never a going bad or hafe way working when it comes to fueses!

    its got a '95 gsr swap (b18c1) and yes, its boosted. its not up to potential yet, i need to get my new turbo manifold mounted, exhaust built, and a good dyno tune. could be 50-75 more hp than i have now..

    thanks i do all my work to my cars i have done swaps to my cars turbo upgrades etc. but this is a new one on me, i really just got to make time and look at it up and down, but working two jobs at 60hrs a week its hard to do that lol! thanks once again!

    you suck, i want to know what a stock ls does with a turbo on it and you go gsr! lol j/k i want to stay with the ls because it pulls out more torque then gsr's and even typeR's and i blow it up i just go get another engine for 400.00 bucks lol! yea dude 50-75 hp is maybe 6 to 8psi on your car, my buddy has got a eg sohc with a ebay turbo kit and dsm injectors and chrome tune and he made 221hp @ 198fpt on 10psi and that car is quick like beating srt4's with upgrades quick lol! my plans are to get a ls engine with like 30-40 thousand miles on it and put it in my car and put togather a turbo kit and run bigger injectors and hondata and go for 300hp if it blow who cares!
