    Default EG/EJ FOGLIGHTS AREN'T WORKING....

Okay so I am not sure if this will be a repost or not & dont care because my foglights arent coming on when I hit the toggle switch & it is pissing me off.... Ive checked everything like unhooked power/grounds and nothing is unhooked, i then checked the fuse and it wasnt blown....

Ive only had them on my car & used them for about a month.... It was raining when they went out but did'nt know if water could get to the bulbs & blow them out or not....

Ive almost just gave up on trying to figure out why they arent coming on.... But im giving it a shot for some help if anyone has had this happen & im looking for any/all advice on what to do to get them working again....

    Are they from Ebay ?
Some times the cheaper lights get a little wet and burn the wires up.
I had one do it once with mine. Had to open the fog light housing and saw the burnt wire.

Yeah it was the small ground wire inside mine that was burnt to a crisp. Then i had to replace a wire going to the housing. It was pretty easy....
Mine also happen on a day it was raining just FYI

If the bulbs went out at the same time you have a short issue

    You didn't mention high resistance.
No short to ground with no fuse blown
No short to power with them not working at all.

Why would it? Fuses will only blow if there is too high of amps running through them. Find another fuse in your car that's identical to that one and switch them and try it. (If you don't have to have it to test)

Okay, so what I did last night is unhooked the male/female connector that I had running through my firewall heading to provide power for my switch.... I unhooked them and got the power and hooked it up to my + battery terminal, meanwhile already having the main power line plugged up to the starter power! And it was grounded on the chasis, behind my front bumper.... After hooking the other power to my battery terminal I got nothing, no light at all.... I also didn't hear the relay clicking like it did when I first hooked evrything up, so my guess is that the relay went bad....

    What do y'all think?

Yeah I posted this thread in the Honda section because I figured it would have been the proper place to start the thread since it's a Honda issue! But it was moved here! Thanks to the "TheDrunkScotsman"....

So I need all the help I can get with this problem because before I waste more money on another set and have it happen all over again, I'd like to figure out how to fix this problem....

Have you unplugged the bulbs, attach a KNOWN GOOD GROUND and checked voltage where the bulb goes in?

RELAY Switch is burnt up! Anyone know where to pick one up? Local auto parts stores dont carry them and cant get them! or is there any other way to wire them back up?

i have wired them up to my corner lights but you might want to look to see if one of the relays in your fuse box under the hood is the same cause i think it is might be wrong but i think they are the same

Well the 12v fuses under the hood did line up but I'm still not gettig any light.... I'm just going to remove my front bumper & check the bulbs.... If the bulbs are good I'm going to just wire the fogs up to my corner lights & go from there, instead of trying to find the relay & just run my fuse off of it....

Also what was the eaiest way to wire the foglights up to your corners? I don't want to rig it up that way but that's what it's coming to because trying to find that relay for my kit is hard....

when i wired my fogs to the corner i just found the power for the running lights not the blinkers you can use a text light to find this or a wiring diagram and you can either ground it to the ground on the corner light bulb or just run it to a ground point on your chassis but run each fog to separate corners dont run it to one corner light

wire it up to your normal beam light, corner light wont be powerful enough to light up the fogs
