sounds like the heater core. when a heater core goes out, it leaks. as it leaks, it burns off the coolant leaking onto the outside of the core, which causes the blower to blow the burnt off coolant (the smoke) out of the vents. the smoke should smell sweet

if your broke, just take one of the heater hoses completely off, and re-route the other hose back into the head, completely bypassing your heater core, but unfortunately you wont have heat...![]()

you should see two hoses, about as big around as a quarter, going from the head to the firewall. just take one out, and reroute the other one back into the head.

i mean, you can do that, as long as neither hose goes into the firewall anymore. but its easier just to reroute one, cause otherwise your gonna have to buy a fitting to connect the two

not if you reroute one hose back into the head. look at it this way:
you got the number 11 (the two heater hoses)
you delete one hose, so now you have the number 1 (one heater hose)
then you make the letter U (rerouting the hose back into the head)
you understand or did i just confuse you more? i know some people are visual learners...
