but for real, i thought that it was just a 2.3 version of the h22, but there is a book at autozone that you can go in and read, it's called "Honda Swaps" and according to them it's a totally different motor, and that some of the parts from the h22 do not fit it, how much truth there is to that, i dont know, believe it cause they seem pretty credible, last time i checked they were going for a bit less than the h22, jhotimports when they were in Augusta had a couple of them, i love that blue valve cover though.

if i were you i would just go with the jdm h22 and the lsd tranny

What you need to know? I had one in my hatch and its a beast.

Same head and block castings as the h22 were used....it has a longer stroke and flat top pistons(as opposed to the "dome" of the h22a) thats where it gets that extra .1 of a liter. Its a great motor, just don't rev the piss outta it b/c its powerband and bottom end were designed for the auto AWD tranny. If you decide you want 8k rpms all day, then stick with the h22a

Pretty much all the specs have been stated and yes, google is your bestest friend!!!

They are a little more expensive due to the fact that there aren't near as many of these as there is the h22a.

I picked mine up for 1400 cash(normally 15-1600) with a business tax ID from Matt Harrel at Japanese Engine Importers in Doraville. Great place to get a motor from!
