    there is an o-ring under the middle cam cap, if that is not in vtec will not work correct?

    not really, i've seen it work without it...

    oh ok, well i just found out that the motor was "rebuilt" a few months ago and vtec hasnt worked since he got his car back, he said they just put new bearings and oil pump on.
