i am assuming that if the head was brought to a machine shop, then they would have inspected the valve and check for warping issues...so those are pretty much eliminated unless you went to like tim bob shop or something....also sometimes the smoke could just be coming from the muffler itself with shit inside it.....take the muff off and run a can of carb through it to see if it still smokes

well the dude reused the OEM headbolts which once they are tq'd you are supposed to replace them. about 2 weeks later it started smoking again, i have some Head Studs, would it be safe to just pull the head, put a new gasket down, and use the studs, or would it have been possible that the head could have warped again?
LOL, none of you answered his question. He just wants to know if he needs to have the head re surfaced again before it goes back on. No one here can know that without seeing it.
