Thread: How do u clean the inside of a motor?

    Parts washer. If the block has been hot tanked and everything is disassembled put everything in a parts washer and go to town. If it is bad enough send it to the machine shop and they have stuff to clean it with.

    Ok thanks, just asking cause I didn't want to use something that would leave a film and screw something up

    Stirfry was correct on the purple power also. Helps if you can get the oil film off first then the Purple Power will do wonders! After cleaning, wash with warm soapy water and get all the residue off then put some WD40 on the parts if you are worried about residue.
