OK I have the solution for anyone with the same problem. First Remove the rear end of the exhaust. second remove the heat shield that covers the driveshaft. third remove the 6 nuts connecting the driveshaft to the rear differential. then remove the 18mm bolt inside the universal joint. then drop the old support bracket. pull the driveshaft down until it pops out of the u-joint slide the rear section and swap the support out. while you have it out it would be a good time to repack the rear bearings. then follow the steps backwards for reinstallation. hopefully this helps someone out. it only took about 6 hours all together without knowing what we were doing. thanks
