    if your valve cover looks like this, the b8 vc, then its the non vtec version.

    I had a 88 hatch with a d15b non vtec. Some of the usdm's had the d15b non vtecs also. But if you pull the oil restrictor out it becomes a vtec block.

    This was mine. y8 head on a d15d non-vtec block....and turbo.
