I am replacing my axle seals on my tranny. Its a honda tranny.

my question is how far do i need to push the driver side seal in? right now i have the seal flush with the case and there is a big gap between the seal and the Diff. is this ok?

here is a pic of what i have now with the new seal. sry for the cell phone pic

Just flush it up, it seals against the intermediate shaft/and or axle depending on the side.
