GSR IAB Removal?

just got a quick question for all heard a couple of people say that removing the IAB ( secondary) intake runner valves in a stock GSR manifold will work and wont eff anything up especially if you arte not using it anyway just wanted to know if anyone has any info on this or not thanks guys

i was considering doing this to my gsr. but it will do no good as the ecu is going to work like (less its retuned) still sending full power at 6500 just because u take the iabs out will not change too much, just buy a aftermarket intake manifold. and get that thing tuned man.

thanks kris for the help just trying some things out and throwing around ideas really but IABs are not even working because the ecu wont run them and (p28) and the soleniods that control the vacuum lines and the acuator are not even on my manifold i was just trying to really see if it can beused without it in there

put a p72 in it.... it will open it up into a hell beast. for real. but if you cant afford one just take the iab's are lik two throttle bodys inside the IM u can open them just like the throttle body so if u can rig it where it will stay open then see if its even worth taken em out.

thats what im trying to figure out im prob gonna tinker with it next week cause i only have to work wed and thurs next week and might go to the track and finally get some numbers on it

that would be cool. i never honestly did it with mine. just kinda let it be. did notice a big difference in the p28 and p72 for sure.

I'm pretty sure they stay open with no vacuum on them. But the second you hook up the vacuum line they will close, and since you have no program that will open the solenoid then they will just stay closed. So just leave the vacuum off and they will be open anyways. But taking them out won't be hard either.
