85 GTI has no spark

If you're not getting any sparks at the spark plugs just start working your way through the entire ignition system one step at a time until you get to the point where you find the faulty part I would recommend starting with the spark plugs, then ignition wires, then just one part after another.

Is there an easier way to check all this stuff? Wanna come out take a look if I can't find it? I'll pay you

Edit: I tried push starting it and jump starting it but neither one of those work.

Where do you live and how much would you pay?

I can look at it on Friday evening. I have experience with these cars and a Bentley manual as well, and spare parts in storage. I don't have my tools with me right now (they're all in storage), but if you have a 10, a 13, a phillips, a spark plug socket, and a multimeter (the multimeter is the most important of all of these) that's about all I'd need for the ignition.
