    Default Water in Engine, what to do?

    So I have a 93 integra with a B20B/Cold Air Intake that got a bit of flood action several weeks back, we aired it out and the interior is fine, it only had about an inch that got inside.

    I tried to start it today thinking everything would've dried out by now, and the starter turned over for a split second but now it doesn't. dash lights are on and everything. What's my best bet?

    The motor has less than 70k on it I'd love to spare it from an untimely death.

    pull the spark plugs out. and turn it over to blow teh water out. but first check the oil to make sure there is not water in the engine not just in the cyls.

    haha I'd kill myself if I didn't have another car... Recently bought an 03 sentra, hate having that cable clutch in Atl traffic.

    Im with silversol if the motor has water in the oil leave drain bolt out for a while and run oil through to make sure all water is out.My cousins car was at the body shop and they let water get in his motor(Left outside didnt cover engine bay).And his car kept cutting off drained oil twice and ran fine.

    If there is water in the motor.. jack the car up.. pull the oil pan off.. Most of the water will be in there but it would be impossilbe to get it all out without inspecting it as much as possible.. Next break out the good ole WD-40 (in case you didnt know WD-40 = Water Displacement 40th Formula) .. spray up into the engine as much as possible.. clean your oil pan and allow the engine to dry up as much as possible.. Then spray each with parts cleaner. Put your oil pan back on and then start checking your ignition system starting at the spark plugs.. you should be fine.

    agree with everything y'all are saying be sure to check your ecu and make sure that NO water got into it had a friend whose accord got water inside the car during a flash flood about 5 years ago and they totaled the car out and Griffin Tech wouldn't pay for it and it was happened on there property so be careful
