The swap is real easy. Especially if you have the p28 and adapter harness. JUST dont forget to take the oil restrictor plug out or you will have no VTAK. PM me if you need help.

good luck bro it's pretty simple the write up is step by step you really can't go wrong. I am in the process of doing it myself for the first time as well, but I am also building my motor.

Swap is real easy then. Just pull the head, pull the restrictor, and swap the head. Some of the swaps you had to use the y8 head bolts. Just make sure they are not bottoming out in the block, which ever bolts you have to use. The obd2 to obd 1 harness will take care of the crank sensor, dizzy, etc... You have to run the wires for the VTEC pressure switch and Vtec solenoid. Other than that its straight forward.
Hell... try doing a mini me swap on an 88 DX with dpfi and using a 96 y8 head, and then turbo charge it. With no help. That was my first mini-me. This is easy.

amen to that, it's so much easier with a mpfi motor unlike my hatch. i wonder if i can get more mpg's out of a z6 instead. im getting 38.7mpg on my hatch and it's dpfi. there are many write ups on this and dependind on what you have there may also be some shortcuts to doing the swap.

first crazy one i did was y8 internals in a y7 block with a y8 head, shoulda used new rings though(doh), next up i put a d15b7 cam into my 91 hatch before it was a 5speed and it helped but it still wouldnt go over 80, now it does just fine.

actually doing a mini me wouldn't take that long even with a repair manual. it took 3 weeks on the first motor i've built. but it was my first one and my working schedule sucked so my bro could help since he knows how.
