lsd and trans oil question??

i'm waiting on my new sohc set on the way, but i got a z6 trans with a LSD in it, and i dont know if i can still use the 10-30w oil still? also whats the best oil to run in that trans with the lsd?

im kinda funny with my trannys...

i mix gear oil 30 weight with motor oil.........

or i mix motor oil with lucas

seems like it shifts smoother and is alot quieter..... the heavier weight kinda quiets the reverse down a bit too

i got a helical lsd so it might be different

u need lsd additive and im pretty sure u can use what ever weight you want if im not mistaken.

if you're worried about it just use mobil 1 10w-30 synthetic and an lsd additive.

i have too, but i have heard of lsd locking up or burning up with that 10/30, i have dropped a good bit on the set up and i dont want to kill it.

pretty much anything with a thermal viscosity additive is good for a gear box.....

i have heard that, but thats if it's the OEM honda LSD, but its like a kaaz lsd you have to use some other oil. i have to called the shop that i used and see that lsd they put it

yeah honda MTF is ok for OEM LSD, but if you have a aftermarket lsd, like kaaz or OBX then you might want to check with him and see if you need to add a additive for the lsd,.

i called the place that i bought the set up from, and they said to use Honda's trans oil with a additive, and not to use just 10-30w.
