    what are they exactly? what do they do, and how do they work?

    just turn the distributor on your car all the way clockwise and you'll have a low-buck misfire system.

    Get a 2-step launch controller and set it to cut ignition while dumping more fuel... it'll ignite the raw fuel in your exhaust manifold causing lots of explosions and misfires... also helps spool a turbo from a stop or in between shifts. =]

    yea you know I think I'll just pay you to do that

    last car that I fiddled around with its engine ignition system I ended up stripping threads... gotta love being a noob still


    care to explain like - how turning it clockwise would do it a lowbuck misfire ( I just want to be able to understand this etc )


    but lemme understand - a misfire system basically tinkers with your ignition sequence so that more fuel is burned?

    hm, another question

    with that - is it on 24/7? or is there a way on how you can have the stock sequence then flip a switch and it'll change it to misfire ? (yea it might be a stupid question but I'm learning here)

    Yes to all of those. You can also activate the system via your TPS.

    You buy a launch controller and the system is installed in your car 24/7, I have seen people rig their MSD ignition to a switch (not the smartest idea IMO), This is a system that is integrated in with your ecu (just like hondata, it has it's own little fancy box) the way a launch controller works is when it's in "standby" mode and it senses the Throttle Position Sensor go past a certain percentage it activates itself and keeps your RPMs at a pre-designated point by killing the spark (like a rev limiter) but while it's doing this, it also dumps hella fuel into your cylinders causing an excess of fuel that isn't being used, causing a build up of atomized gasoline in your exhaust system. This (with the help of your launch controller's ignition timing) causes quite a few explosions in your exhaust manifold and assists your turbocharger to spool up or keep it spooled up between gears.... this is almost exactly what ct9a gsr said.
