I lowered my first truck (back in 1988) by removing the front coil springs completely and going flipped, mono-leaf in the rear. You do not want to just flip the rear springs. It will create a very rough, bouncy ride. Best cheapest thing to do is get (from Pep Boys or wherever) a 3" lowering block set for the rear (very easy to install) and heat the front coils about 2" or so.
Total cost? About $50. You won't be slammed, but it would be a nice, low drop for you. Later, QD.
