I don't see a big gain in using the B16 head if you plan on boosting later. I would put that money towards a good turbo and tuning. You don't have to do valves and springs and retainers unless you plan on running high rpms (above 8500) or run big cams (not needed for <400whp). As for what pistons to run I would personally run a 10:1 JE and get the car tuned. This will make the car a little more responsive when out of boost and you won't have to run as much boost to make good power.
as for power im planning on anywhere from high 200s to mid 300s. not planning on high rpms just my redline. not exactly sure about turbo size yet, manily focusing on my rebuild at the moment. im planning on getting eagle rods and JE pistons. so i should be ok buying OEM internals instead of the skunk2? i just wanted to have a peace of mind knowing the head is built so if something goes wrong i wouldny kick myself in the ass for not building it right the 1st time.

If your going for that power range then building it is not must the main factor people blow their engines running boost is because they are not tuned or they boost an engine that is not healthy.I guess you can say a good set of rods and some low comp. pistons should do the trick as for the head for that power range could be left stock 12-14 psi should give you the power you are shooting for I believe...
