No Cluster Lights or Dash Lights....

so ive got a 94 civic ex coupe.... ive got the aftermarket indigle gauges in the cluster and wanted to take them out and so i did.... after pulling the gauges out and plugging up the cluster and turning the headlight switch on to check to see if my cluster lights or dash lights worked there was absolutely nothing.... so then i checked the fuses (nothing burnt out), checked all of the bulbs (no burnt out bulbs).... so after being frustred with it i put it all back together and then a few days later the factory gauges and dash lights came on.... the only thing i know it could possibly be is a short in the wiring or harness is bad.... does anyone have any ideas on the easiest way to check the harness without removing everything???????

there is no easy way. get u a test light and a DMM start back probing till u find the short. if u know how to read and use a wiring diagram ill post 1.
