Default broken wheel stud on a civic?

my wheel studs are f'ked due to the previous owner of the car going to a cheap tire shop.... and now im in a battle trying to replace these things.

its a 93 honda civic ex NON abs. and im having a very hard time getting the stud back in... ive tried the trimming method and the stud is still almost at a 90 degree angle.

so are there any other tricks? is it safe to pull the hub apart?.. even though im trying to avoid that

    help would be greatly appreciated

you can pull the hub apart... Not worries on that... but the best way to get them to pull all the way through is to get you open end lugs, crappy ones that you care nothing about and tighten them on... It will pull the stud through as you tighten. That's how I've always done mine... Works like a charm.

P.S. it helps to have an impact gun when doing that method

i tried that method already, for some reason my hub is fairly too large and even after trimming the new stud its hard to go because of its angle... hell taking out the old one was hard... i literally had to cut BOTH ends of the old stud to remove it

    yeah, all oem sizes
ive done it this way countless times. u sure your trying to install on the right side of the hub without the backing plate.

to get them out u just brake them off.

I removed my hubs and beat them out, then installed the new ones. No cutting/grinding ect. very simple process....

i just press them out cut the left over race if any. replace the bearings. lefts face facts these are over 10-20 year old cars now. new bearings should be on the list.

X2, if your pulling the hubs, go ahead and replace the bearings.
