    Default 1600cc vw motor help

i have a 1600cc vw motor on my dune buggy, which is forsale when its running perfect... id prefer not to sell someone junk. but i replaced the heads with a friend and everything was torqued down to spec. the thing was, i bought the new heads and didnt notice them being double barrel ported heads, and my carbs being single barrel... so i bought the adapters. well now that we have everyything on its very low on power. VERY low, i cannot get it over 40mph. maybe timing? any ideas? help if you can fellas.

Are the carbs tuned for the new heads? I would give Steve at ProFlow Performance (www.proflowperformance.com) a call. He is a VW Master and should be able to help.
