regulator issue

if the regulator was damage wouldn't it atleast make some kind of noises when I press the switch?

No.

When you press the switch, power goes to the motor which moves the regulator.

No power= fine out why
Power but no movement = Motor
Power and motor works = regulator

Make sure you clean all the glass out of the window frame.

see if that side is getting power. DMM or a test light will work.
