Default Subi Experts - Please Chime In

First off what I want to know is the approx. value of said car. Quality of the mods. Any info on the shop(I emailed them). Potentially how fast it could be on paper. Any things that are common problems etc... just give me your gosh darn honest opinion!

Any clips of how this could sound? Exhaust? BOV? I love a Subaru with loud pipes!

I want to trade/sell my M3. I got this offer off bimmerforums:

My motor was built at Dynamic Power Solutions(www.dpstuning.com). I have many people who can vouch for my car. The engine itself only has 76xx miles. Chassis has 69k Miles. Never been in an accident.

    $13k at most.....

All mods are on point; good brands and combo.

The mods and extra add-ons alone are close to 10k and the motor only has about 8k miles on it. The car looks to be in good condition and if all the motor work was done by professionals I don't see why the owner of it couldn't sell it for at least 17k.

Generally modded cars sell for less, but that is a personal preference in the end based on what you think of the shop and if you trust them. We sold ourSTI stock with the black interior for $19.5k with 32k miles. They are selling for about the same at Manheim. So maybe that gives you a reference as far as price. I will have Dan give some input later on the mods and all of that.

Thanks guys. I want something more to daily and is fun to scoot around in. My M3 I am asking 18K with a whole bunch of extras. If I traded for this I would keep all my slicks and R-Comps. My extra sets of brakes and all of that jazz.

AND... I love the sound of the exhaust on the Subaru's. Big selling point. Much rather have an STi but the first thing I would do is take off the wing and now no one would really know.

Speed wise this is probably close to an STi?

True, but to sell the car.....I don't see more that $13k.

If that seller is hoping for over $15k, he will have that car for a while.

I no longer have my WRX and I miss it everyday.

Now, I'm trying to get myself an e36 m3. Haha, weird.

Haha, well my WRX was my first car.

I miss the small power that it had and getting attention from random people on the road.

    How DARE you, lol!

I want another one, but after riding German for a while, it will be hard. There may be an 06-07 STi in my future next year.

That's what I hated. Every ricer tried to pull up on me, I assume because of the wing and hood scoop. Everyone at the grocery store would ask me what kind of car it was I was so over it.

I do miss the Evo though. Despite the attention THAT got. That thing was FAST!

I like the Subaru's for the torque. The silver one looks good. NO WING!

I think the trade is close enough. Did you look up any of his posts on Nasioc to see how he might treat the car?

    Couldn't find it.

Tell your boy to look over the mod list and such. I emailed the shop today that did the work on the silver car.

I'd say 13-14k, looks well-done, but who knows from this distance?

I guessing that with those mods, you could probably walk an STI. A WRX can get to stock STI speed (at least 0-60 and 1/4) with simple bolt-ons. Granted a WRX doesn't have the torque or the transmission, but hey they already fixed those for you

If it is in good condition, that's a pretty righteous bugeye.

PS, I just realized this thread is over a week old, but my scroll bar rarely makes it this far down the forum.

I think with the mods you have on your ride and the condition that it is in that 13K is probably the most someone would pay for it. You have to come up with a price that is comfortable for you. Good Luck on the sale and it is a very hot bugeye!!.
