    Default What Engine Should I Get

    i have a 94 Honda Civic d16z6...bearings have rolled...so after i get my new engine..or get it fixed...i might just sell it. my question is..and this is probably a repost i just can't find the thread i may be looking for...
    what is a good (NOT BEST) engine to put into a Civic with later plans of boost (no higher than 230 hp)?

    Buy Catnips Integra for $825. Engine, dash swap, brake conversion, etc.

    Nah, build the D. Less than 1k invested and u can make 300+ no probz. Plus u dont have to swap anything, use what u got.

    catnips LS swap. Doesnt get any cheaper than that. $825 is a killer price!

    Link in my sig.

    LS's like 10-12 psi. With a t3/t4, that's far above your goal. Turn it down and be at your goal. My engine compression tested 191-190-189-191

    Stock ls' do love boost.


    Mines tuned at around 10psi.


    Thatll usally get you anywhere from 225-250 on a pretty safe tune.
