    Default car wont start HELP

    i have a 1996 isuzi/honda passport. driving fine untill yesterday the car wouldnt start. at first, when i tried to cut the car on it would make a click click click noise when i tried to start the car. i thought i was the battery so ive replaced it. still the same but the car wont start still and no more click etc sound when i try to start the car. also the radio wont cut on. maybe not enough connection to cut the radio on? reps to any useful info

    make sure u got the battery hooked up right (it does happen) and ur terminals are tight. if all thats good hit ur starter with a hammer or something of good weight and try it again.

    Wrong you need to hit your starter as someone is trying to crank it... That is the way to free it up...


    Sounds like you have bad cables though.

    if the starter is easy to get to i would try hitting it with something as someone trys and starts it and if its not easy to get to i would inspect the cables make sure either one is corded anywhere

    I had the same problem with my 99 Rodeo. Try hitting the starter with a hammer while someone else tries to crank it. If it doesn't work its most likely you're starter. Take it to autozone and see if it'll pass the tests. That's the easiest way.

    i tried it didnt work. i have a very good feeling its the starter.

    It most likely is. My buddy (2.2Rodeo) had the same problem. It was the starter.

    Just take it to autozone and they'll check it for you for free.
