The last ignition problem I saw, that the Tach jumped around and it misfired, was because the vehicle didnt have enough ignitiom strength. I think it was stock igntion tryin to make 400 hp. The feedback from the igntion fouling drove the Tach crazy inside the dash. IDK about ur speedo though.
