    Default Dead Battery

Okay...nothing new with a dead battery, and I know how to jump start a car. Here's something new though. I've jump-started my car before with no problem. Today however, I got HUGE sparks whenever I tried to connect the jump leads, and when I ballsed up and connected them, one end started smoking so I disconnected them immediately. They were HOT obviously...and I'm just wondering what could cause this all of a sudden. I've jumped my car from the same car (along with others) before with no issues.

    What the hell?

Red to red...black to black, unless my dad's car is just stupid.

EDIT: Just tried again and had no issues. My car is cursed. Either that or I just had a moment of brainlessness this morning that I can't recall.
