i got a pm6 ecu and a p07 i got a y8 dizzy and all d and b series injectors are the same just about.... the injectors squirt now btw and yes to the thread 2 up maybe it is flooded how to unflood?

OK.... what ecu is in the car? Is the car wired for OBD0 or OBD1? An OBD0 ECU will not work with an OBD1/2 distributor even if you repin it/swap plugs.Originally Posted by D15B
Yeah the CC ratings are all about the same. But some are low impedance requiring a resistor box and some are high impedance.Originally Posted by D15B
Remove all of the spark plugs, unplug the injector connectors and turn the engine over a few times.Originally Posted by D15B
thanks for the unflood info havent tried it yet..... i have the jumper for the po7 im thinking maybe i need the p28 to make it run...and i have a resistor box hooked up for the injectors but there obd 1 i filed down the groves to make it sutible for obd 0 so they fit in and squirt fine...btw not to ride dick or anything but i think your going to be the one who helps me start this car lol
If the injectors are High Impedance injectors from an OBD1 SOHC remove the resistor box. If you are going to use the Y8 distributor you will need an OBD1/OBD2 ecu and convert the car accordingly. If you have an OBD1 D15B VTEC engine, I am really not sure how you bolted up a Y8 distributor. That PO7 Ecu needs a 5 wire O2 to operate correctly, but is going to make that D15B run like shit regardless.Originally Posted by D15B
Here is what I would recommend if you are running a D15B VTEC.
- Put the original A6 harness on the D15B plug everything up.
- Find a Z6 distributor, bolt that up.
- Convert the car to OBD1 with a jumper harness or whatever, add the
necessary wires.
- Trade those ecu's or sell them for a P28.
- Remove the resistor box and wire the one red wire to the 4 black wires
- Make sure you are using a 4 wire O2 sensor.
Everything should work then. It may seem like you are getting spark if you somehow wired the the Y8 dizzy to the OBD0 harness, but really it is a very weak spark that is inadequate to ignite your air/fuel mixture. And when you put a resistor box on High Impedance injectors, they will not flow as they should.
alright that makes sense i used an obd 0 male plug and i wired it up accordingly to the obd 1 dizzy only one wire is diff color the big white goes to yellow blue or something like that but im going to try the resistor box tommarow and hook up a p28 ill keep this thread updated tommarow.i got the 4 wire o2 plug aldo thanks
uhmm my wiring harness has 4 red wires and a yellow wire female side and 4 black wires and a red on male male connects to the resistor box what exactly did you say to do? what i saw on rewyre was to just block off the current with a plugOriginally Posted by D15B
also i think your correct that is a z6 dizzy i see how that would not bolt up now lol like i said i r noob at sohc
oh and i was wrong its a p05 ecu not p07
Let's say on the resistor box side of the plug you have 4 black wires running into the resistor box, and one red wire. Cut all of the wires off that run into the resistor box. Connect the one red wire to all of the 4 black wires. That will eliminate the resistor box.Originally Posted by D15B
The P05 is equally as shitty as a P07 ecu for that engine. It is a 1 wire o2 ecu that is for a 70 hp 8 valve non VTEC engine. Try to get a P28 if possible. Your engine will run terrible with that P05.
