Default School me on the mazda3 and mazda6!

I'm looking at getting a DD and have been thinking about the mazda3 and mazda6. They look good, and from what I hear are fun to drive. I'm not planning on modding so I'm looking at automatics.

What are your thoughts? Anything I should look out for? Any common problems?

    TIA

depending on your size, and if you want more space or less. Reliability on both of them are great. If your just lookin for a daily, the 2.3 4cyl 6 would be a good choice. They both are about the same price used. depends on the size you lookin for

cant go wrong with either one. i think the 3 had a issue with motor mounts.

Thanks man. I've been looking at the V6 as well, because it would be nice for cruising the interstate and have some get up and go at speed.

I read somewhere though that the V6 engine and tranny are the same as the ones found in the ford/mercury models. You know anything about that?

Are they all as reliable as the next, or is there a better choice among those three?

I really like the 6. I never would have guessed that after owning 4 RX7s, that I would find myself being extremely pleased to be in a FWD 4door sedan. I have put over 60k on my car with the 2 1/2 rears I have had it. I am now at 102k miles. The only thing I have done was keep up on the oil changes & regular maintenance. I had a Mazdaspeed clutch installed at about 95k miles. Take both for a test drive & see which one suites you the best. They are both great cars.

I had a 6I (4 cyl) before I bought my MS6, and it was great car! Mine was just a base model automatic, but it had plenty of power just for commuting and whatnot. I never had any problems out of it. They are really fun to drive. I had mine on Tein Basics, and it handled way better than my MS6 does.
