drive slower?????....1
no sway bars. strut bars do shit for what your looking for. get a si somebody is parting out get the setup off that assuming u have a EK.
As in setup, what exactly do you mean?Originally Posted by Barefoot
the sway bars there is 2 in the front 1 for the back i dont know which trim ek u have. but u might need the lcas also from the si. there might be other donors cars but the si is the 1 im sure of.Originally Posted by .EKMark
I have a CX, what trim wouldn't it fit on?Originally Posted by Barefoot
id get the whole front fucking assembly lolOriginally Posted by .EKMark
im guessing you have the regular ole sleeve over coilovers on oem shocks?
first step in getting rid of body roll is to invest in top notch quality full dampers or shocks and springs. the average "coilover" kit and oem shocks wont cut it, if anything is going to make a difference.. its that
don't just get sway bars and put them on, they'll rip your subframe clean off your car.
Get an ASR brace, y0!

best investment ever done to my hatch when I had it. And throw your SHOCK tower bars away. They only add weight.
What coil-overs do you have? What is the spring rate? Strut bars reduce chassis flex making the body more rigid, they have nothing to do with suspension movement or body roll.Originally Posted by .EKMark
Invest in sway bars. If you have to buy them might as well go aftermarket instead of OEM, unless you can find the 22mm Civic Type-R rear setup. The SI is only 13mm, you don't want that. ASR makes a 24mm rear sway bar for the '96-00 Civic for $170 (ASR-EK-24S-01) or you can get the 32mm for $440 (ASR-EK-SU-25)...talk about some serious oversteer lolol!! I'd suggest the complete subframe kits though, well worth the investment.
Here's the best resource I've seen on "EK" sway bar setups and what OEM parts are compatible but i'd still suggest aftermarket:

Front:
1992-1995 Civic Si: 21mm
1992-1995 Civic EX: 21mm
1994-1997 del Sol DOHC: 24mm
1996-2000 Civic EX: 22mm
1996-2000 Civic HX: 22mm
1999-2000 Civic Si: 26mm
1997-2000 Civic Type R: 26mm
1994-2001 Integra LS: 22mm
1994-2001 Integra GSR: 24mm
1996-2001 Integra Type R: 24mm
Rear:
1992-1995 Civic EX: 13mm
1994-1997 del Sol DOHC: 15mm
1999-2000 Civic Si: 13mm
1997-2000 Civic Type R: 22mm
1994-1999 Integra LS: 13mm
2000-2001 Integra LS: 14mm
1994-2001 Integra GSR: 14mm
1996-2001 Integra Type R: 23mm (JDM) 22mm (USDM)
X2 on the sway bars, will make a huge difference.

WOW! That is very good information.
Thanks a lot! I thought I had some good stuff when I got the car like this, but I guess not. I'm thinking I might as well go deep into the suspension setup now.
What would be the best setup for an overall great handling car?

You'll want to reinforce it because a more rigid sway bar puts too much stress on the mounting points and will rip the suspension out of the chassis.Originally Posted by teh_mugen18
Indeed and I've seen pictures of it happening, but I don't recall where...Originally Posted by teh_mugen18
The Civic Type R and Integra Type R already comes with reinforced subframe from the factory. Thats why they can handle a ticker sway bar than regular Civics and Integra's.
Oh, and its possible to run after market sway, but onnce you make that super hard turn, say bye-bye to your subframe.
It's common for e46 M3's, common enough to be warrantied.Originally Posted by Homer Simpson

Make sure your endlinks arent bad on the sways too, this legend above had killed his and thus resulted in what is pictured.
is that yours?Originally Posted by smoknlegend

Nope, but mine has considerable body roll also, which makes me believe i need to check my sway also.

mark you want suspension? ground control coilovers and koni yellows
function 7 lca's and asr subframe brace
As a few have said before strut bars have nothing to do with side to side movement aka body roll. To attack roll you want to attack the sway bars. When you get bars make sure you do your research because they can also change handling characteristics such as oversteer and understeer. So research the setups out there and go with what looks best to your driving preferences. When looking at sway bars don't forget to upgrade your endlinks as well, they will give you the most out of the bar and handle the extra strength. After sways you feel your roll is still to much for your likings you'll need to look deeper into shock/spring/coilover setup. Good luck!
