    Default internal and external honda coils! help!

    I have tried looking for a wright up and cant find it!. I am installing a 95 f22b1 in a 93 prelude that had a h23. and i am useing the h23 harness and the h23 had a external coil. and the f22b1 has a internal coil. and i have a extra plug on the harness for the extrenal coil. how do i solve this issue! Reps for answers and links!

    i had the same problem when installing my DOHC F22B into my 95 accord. the dohc f22b has an internal coil and the accord an external. anyway what i had to do was take the distributor apart and figure out which wires power the coil and wired them up that way.

    you will have to take the distributor apart and figure out which wires power the internal coil and wire them up to the plug. it will basically be a troubleshoot to figure out which wires are which. i know it sounds confusing but that what i had to do with mine and it runs perfect.
