    Default How many quarts of oil go in d16z6 turbo

    The title says it all. The turbo is a gt28rs " disco potato" turbo if it matters... I'm just tryin to make sure I don't blow my engine. Got a bad memory.

    I bought 4 I normally put 4 in I just had a jiffy lube shop say 3 1/2 and I'm glad I dumped in the other half qaurt

    jiffy lube sucks. we had two here and there both closed. what does that tell you. i had my oil changed there one time and the guy pulled the oil pumping thing away from my car and forgot to let go of the pump button.

    They do take 3.5 stock, but youve got to keep in mind that the turbo system uses a small portion of oil also, thats why i always run a .5qt extra.

    3.7 quarts stock as my z6 takes, but you wanna make sure the turbo is happy and that one i could not tell you.
