    Default help which motor **need opinions**

    how hp should i be makin from a fully built and turbo d series? or should i go a different route? i jus need a cheap bang for a buck and ive heard d series parts are a lot cheaper and i can get whole moter for 115bucks all day long or any 4 cyl. at local junk yard jus some advice on which way is best route it will be goin in a hb gutted most likley

    You can make 300-400whp pretty easily with forged rods & pistons on a sohc.

    willybignut makes good power with his d16y8 boosting like 8lbs with a turbonetics kit with stock internals and a tune but he spent about as much on the turbo kit as u could spend on a b series semi built so id say build a b and u can be looking at bigger numbers

    1-how much money you want to spend
    2-how much power do you want to make

    If youre going to go as far as to get a sleeved block, go b-series honestly.

    yea, if you are going to be sleeving, go b series. better bang for the buck and you get more power.

    i'd keep stock sleeves with a block guard though.
