    Default a sr20 transmision question

    i went 2 go run and when i shifted to 2nd gear car ran fine then i wanted to shift to 3rd it wouldn't let me for some reason its stuck in 2nd gear tried to take it out and it wont come out of second gear ? any help?

    In most trannys, when they lock in a certain gear, the bearings on the main/counter shaft are either locking up, for that particular gear...or the fork is extremely fubared... but mainly bearings..

    drain the fluid, if it is super black, you probably have some burnt bearings...

    im bout 2 leave to go pick up the car and drain the oil and see what could be wrong
