I made a similar trip on my SV650S. Picked it up in San Jose Cali and rode it back to Macon. I stayed on I10 till Tallahassee and came north from there. If the weather is decent it really is a pretty ride. I only got rained on twice in my trip. I hated Texas too, got a hotel just inside texas one night and just kept riding the next day till I was finally out. I didn't want to get a hotel twice in the same state. Long ride but it was great fun. I never stopped for that many pics though, wish I would have since you saw several of the same places I stopped at but I never got any pics to show for it.
