Default Updates on my car - 02 turbo accord

some of you, probably one or two people, will know who i am, but im back in atlanta after being out of state for 3 years... car was down for like 8 months in need of an overhaul, which it got.

redid most my wiring for the engine, installed new clutch, polished some stuff, repainted a few things here and there, replaced master cyl, slave cyl and clutch line. a few other little bits and pieces, but nothing crazy. cars running fabulously, and im looking forward to dyno time and tuning in the near future...

anyway, just cause i took some photos of it tonight, i will let yall take a look and see what you think. if i can find a complete mod list, ill post it, but otherwise, just ask if youve got any questions.

    enjoy -

looks good. believe it or not, that foam cover on your turbo outlet is very restrictive...not enough surface area to pull air through.

up, i do believe it. its just temporary until i find something that i can use in a similar fashion, but is sturdy enough to not get sucked in. i was thinking of getting a simple kitchen sieve, and cutting the mesh and setting it up the same way. that or a tea strainer. im not so worried about tiny dust particles, but rather the larger ones that could cause problems.

i know most likely, people will say im better off with a good air filter, but i kinda dont wanna run one. got any suggestions for me?

im planning on brining the car to you guys in the near future anyway, so any suggestions as to what i can do to get it in tip top shape, prior to any tuning, would be much appreciated, since ive been out of the scene for nearly 2 years now.

if you're not too worried about dust and just larger particles then i would just get some metal screen from home depot and a hose clamp. make sure the screed is metal and not nylon...nylon wouldn't be good.

yea, i was actually thinking either home depot metal screen, or, going to publix/kroger and getting like some kinda tea strainer, seive, or the likes. i guess it just depends which one has a finer mesh, and will keep the most crap outta the engine.

its a t3 super 60... nothin special... pretty run of the mill. when i got it, it had been rebuilt, and has no shaft play, other than a little forwards and backwards play, maybe a mm or two, which as far as i know, is normal.

nice accord, those 98-02 have so much room between the engine and the radiator the only thing you can think of its a turbo, i love your car, i want one but its hard to find a manual one, it seems like they made 98% of them automatic, but i am at the point where i might just get a beat up one with like a million miles build the engine and convert it to manual, im an accord man, and i love the way these cars look on full coilover suspension,

    nice accord dude
