    Default new tires

well i need some new ones so after reading up on a few and a few recommendations from a gsx-r board im on i have pretty much decided to go with Bridgestone battleAx B-021. yes sport touring. i will be riding a lot til i have enough for a car so these come recommended for riding a lot in striaght lines and still have good grip for curves at more than normal speeds. whats your take?

I'm not the bike tire expert (Yet )

But nice to see you being asertive about it cause good tires on a bike are incredibly important.

I'll do some homework on those later.

appreciate it man. well i figure better safe than sorry. im on gixxer.com and a lot have recommended these to me for my needs. i don't intend on crazy speeds or knee draging til i get more experience. better safe than sorry all ways. currently i have dunlop d somethings on the front(im to lazy to walk down stairs to the garage to look cause i just ate lol) and bridgestone battleax bt-012ss on the rear and i like it but its to soft and gets chewed up to fast for my needs currently. when i get another car i will be looking for a tire to handle aggressive driving because i want be relying on it for long drives as much as i am currently.

I had a Metz Z6 on the back of my SV and it held up very well. Good enough traction and had a good profile so it wasn't too hard to lean it over. My FZ will be getting Pilot Road 2ct's for its next set.

i have the Bridgestone 21s and they've held up for a good 5k or so. Never had a problem not sticking, even did my first track day on them. I'm not the best or fastest rider, but so far i'm gonna replace them with the same.

well so far i love my batlax b-021 grip pretty damn awesome imo. ride smooth. of course im not doing 100+ everywhere. on a few back roads up in the mountains and on the interstate at like 2 i have been up to 137 and they have held good. hung a few sharp twistie roads at 50-70 with no problem. got pretty low and they held fine. im not dragging my knee or anything but getting pretty low.. i dont feel comfortable with my knee cap scraping the pavement with out pads and full leathers. but so far they hold very well, wet and dry....
