im willing to bet its something basic ..

idle? it idles pretty much perfect, stays at a constant 2 when cold.. then 8-900ish rpm when at temp.

if i hold the gas steady at around 2k rpm.. itll fluctuate up and down just a wee bit, about 200 rpms if that matters

my car did the same thing with the old swap. i really just came to a conclusion that i had bad compression and the motor had stopped making power as it used to. but i never knew what was up with that swap. it basically ran like shi.T!!! eventully one day my timing fu.cked up and i had bent my valves! but since you said the timing is good, i think your motor is losing compression. but i may be wrong. gl with getting it fixed!
    shhh...

Hmm...if is good (plugs, fuel, etc...) Change your oil and see what color it is. I'm GUESSING you might have eaten up your bearings.

He had the same compression all across. He also would have heard engine noises. You can drive around on chewed up bearings...I know.
